Lichtheid

These are pictures of a paper sculpture I made. The assignment was to visualize a word in 3D form. The choice of paper as material made the assignment at the first glance, hard because paper is such a fine material. But with such a neutral material as paper, it becomes such a malleable communicative middle.

The production of the sculpture was hours of bent over neck breaking precision work and replication after replication for the right curves and folds. I'm proud to show off the final pictures of the sculpture representing 'Lichtheid' (lightness).

The concept behind the sculpture is based on the movement of air.

Lying on your back

This is a series of photographs I took around Hasselt area. Hopped on a bike and managed to snap a couple of these for a photography assignment called 'lying on your back'. Seeing everything from underneath allows you notice everything and capture images that communicate on a whole new level.

Black Beauty

This one portrait to begin with is a beautiful shot of an African American woman, which I then reworked with a few graphic elements to give you what you see now. I like how the different shades of colors mix to form a unique piece of artwork.

Nike 6.0 Mogan Mid artwork 2

Hello all

This is the second version I've done for another customized sneaker. You'll notice this one's a little darker and that you can now see "all" the paint splashes. I like the little touch of sand colored paint on the sole...that keeps it a bit quirky; A bit me.

My Nike 6.0s...customized by myriadmedia for Missotten&Frances

Hello all

I just finished this yesterday and it should've only taken me 20-30 minutes max. to get this done but I was being too much of a perfectionist (i took half a day instead). I know....I can hear the whole design crowd going, "Booo~ What the hell?!" Anyway, this artwork was created for my customized pair of Nike 6.0 Mogan Mids. I like the way the paint looks like its splattered and poured, as if trying to say creating this shoe was like fine art: A whole harmonious mix of color. I'm in love with this model and a couple others....I'm such a sneaker junkie.

People collect Barbie dolls and comic figurines. Well I collect sneakers =X I'm getting married in my very own customized white sneakers. Booyah.
